San Jose, CA — NeuroSky, the global leader in non-invasive brain–computer interface (BCI) and biosensing technologies, announced on November 11th, 2025, the formation of a joint venture with ZKTeco, a worldwide innovator in multimodal AI and intelligent scene technologies. This partnership marks a major milestone in accelerating global BCI innovation and expanding the frontier of emotion-aware human–machine interaction.
Building on NeuroSky’s industry-leading EEG and ECG sensing technology—widely adopted across education, entertainment, fitness, and health—combined with ZKTeco’s strengths in BioCV, AIoT, and hardware ecosystems, the joint venture will deliver a new paradigm of “Chip + Emotion Cloud + Industry Ecosystem.”
The new company will focus on two core innovations:
- Next-generation edge BCI algorithm chips, enabling real-time recognition of emotional and cognitive states such as fatigue, stress, relaxation, happiness, and empathy.
- Hybrid biometric and neural-signal fusion, strengthening the evolution from traditional identity verification to cognitive and emotional state perception.
To accelerate commercialization, the venture will launch an Emotion Cloud Services Platform, offering scenario-ready emotional recognition and management solutions. Early applications include workforce attention training, emotional wellness, and EEG-based identity authentication. A global supply chain spanning China, Thailand, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and Spain will support large-scale manufacturing and deployment.
